ReplyDeleteThats all great, but what are the disadvantages? Surely, it's not a perfect solution...
ReplyDeleteI think that alot of this information is very true and very beneficial! I do have a question, do you think that with digital libraries becoming more popular that it would be possible for them to become more expensive as well? Such as maybe people restricting access to certain books for a price?
ReplyDeleteAccessibility of content at any time is awesome!
ReplyDeleteKyle Weber, I also immediately thought of the disadvantages. Like the ability for information to malfunction and completely erase from a virus of hacker. Or even the students that don't have internet capability at home. Also, for me its much easier to read and take notes on a physical copy of a book or reading material. While there are disadvantages, I do agree the advantages weigh them out completely. Go digital!!
ReplyDeleteI have not owned any ebook yet. Are there any disadvantages?

ReplyDeleteI think one of the most significant advantages a digital library has to offer from a business perspective is obviously the lower cost. If you think about it you don't have to own any physical space. Everything is being done digitally and through the cloud these days, and it's helping business cut their expenses.
ReplyDeleteDigital Libraries add a level of convenience for everyone. Instead of shuffling through books and papers in the library, you can type in what you want to search for and maybe even find it in seconds. It makes it easier to find what you need, and stuff will always be available.
ReplyDeleteDigital Libraries are very convenient. The only con to it is if the internet unexpectedly goes down and your essay/project is do the next day. But there are many ways to get through that obstacle, so its not too bad.
ReplyDeletei think digital libraries are great and very useful when you dont have much space.
ReplyDeleteI can see how digital libraries could be convenient
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part about digital libraries is that you can easily make copies of the books or audio you have downloaded. I find this to be very helpful when I buy a book on my laptop and I automatically have it on my phone swell
ReplyDeleteWhile I think that it is definitely the future of all media, books will have to keep some sort of physical presence as it is so ingrained into the experience of reading to hold a book or go to some quite place free of technology.
